Not only sea
Excursions into the countrysideRiccione is one of the main sea holiday resorts in Italy, but also offers a wide range of nature and culture tours all year round.
RiminiRimini was one of the most important centres of the ancient Roman Empire. The official date of its foundation as a Roman colony was the year 268 B.C. 1400 was the age of the splendid dominion of the Malatesta Family. Many parts of the city still remind us of Sigismondo Pandolfo, the most famous of its members, who built the castle, Castel Sigismondo and the cathedral, the Tempio Malatestiano.

San MarinoThe Republic of San Marino was founded in 301 A.D. and it is the most ancient European Republic. An enclave situated in central Italy, 15 km from the Romagna Riviera, the Republic sits at 700 meters above sea level on Mount Titano, a prominence which gives the first hint of the presence of the Central Apennine Mountains.

Gradara
Situated at 142 metres above sea level, Gradara represents an extraordinary urban and architectural combination. Legend has it that the castle was the scene of the famous and tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca, caught in each other's arms and killed by Gianciotto, Francesca's husband. This love story was immortalized by Dante in his Divine Comedy.

Mondaino
Mondaino was probably founded by the Etruscans who settled in the main Apennine valleys. In reference to the deer that once were numerous in the forests of this area, this little town was called "Mondaino", the main attractions, a beautiful square and a fortress from which you can admire a splendid panorama.

Montefiore Conca
Montefiore was the medieval capital of the Conca Valley and one of the most integral and fascinating lands of the Malatesta Lords. Not by chance, Montefiore is part of the prestigious circuit of the "Most beautiful townships in Italy". The Fortress, as a sentinel of stone in the Malatesta lands, offers, with it severe and imposing geometries, truly unique views.

Santarcangelo
The Rocca Malatestiana of Santarcangelo is one of the medieval castles of the Riccione area. In the early thirteenth century, during the struggle between the Guelfs and the Ghibellines, control of Sant'Arcangelo and its fortifications passed back and forth. But increasingly it came under the influence of the Malatesta.

San Leo
Propped high up on a steep solid rock there is, similar to an eagles nest, one of the mightiest fortresses of the Montefeltro landscape. It is a compound of military structures from different periods. The keep has a remarkable dungeon, expression of extreme cruelty, and a singular view onto the most solemn Romanesque churches.

Verucchio
The village of Verucchio dominates the splendid landscape of the Valmarecchia. Not to be missed are the Rocca, the Collegiata dei Santi Martino e Francesco d'Assisi and the Archaeological Museum.
